Zeolite is a natural mineral, which when volcanic rocks and layers of ashes react with alcaline underground waters.
Some call it “the stone of life” or “magic stone”. Its name comes from the words zeo, which means boil in greek and, lithos, which means stone. When zeolite is heated, it emits in the form of bubbles the water it has contained, giving the impression of boiling.
Apart from agriculture, zeolite is also used in stockraising, in fisheries, in bio cleaning and in medicine. Natural zeolites can also be used in cases of water infection or soil infections after a nuclear accident.
Zeolite in agriculture:
Thanks to its massive exchange capacity, it can filter the water by binding metals and organic compounds.
It binds the soil nutrients and keeps them close to the plants’ root system for a longer period.
It contains magnesium, ferrum, potassium and calcium, elements that enrich the soil.
It neutralizes the acidic components of the soil.
It improves the soil’s structure by reducing its compression and increasing aeration.
100% natural product that can be used in bio agriculture.
Cleans the soild of toxic substances and metals.
Increases the availiability of phosphorus (up to 89%) and potassium.
The usage of less fertilizers and water, promotes good management of the soil and the reduction of polution in the aquifer
It can be used as a substrate for the growth of hydroponic crops, in horticulture, floriculture, aromatic species in Mediterranean conditions.
Low implementation costs, giving products of high quality.
Our highly trained agronomists, will show you the appropriate type of zeolite for your field. The mechanical composition of the soil will determine the amount of zeolite and its type, fine-grained or coarse.
