The granules are covered by a polymer macromolecule that protects all nutrients, and not just nitrogen, from flushing during excessive rain or poor irrigation. This macromolecule is biodegradable and when contacted with soil moisture is converted to gel, protecting all nutrients for a long time, regulating the gradual release of nutrients without impeding their availability to the plant thanks to their hydrophilic properties.
